Cindy Cares is so right. You have the three strikes that doom the most promising adult relationship. And you are still a child. No matter what your hormones are telling you.

CindyCares agony aunt Maybe it's not just the race, - at least I hope.

As a parent I would be concerned about the age difference. He is a bit too old for you. It would be different if you were 20 dating a 25 y.o.guy, but...you are 14.

Or maybe they don't like you dating at all, always because of your age. That they know does not mean they approve - apparently, they don't.

Another thing that would not thrill me ,as a parent, would be the LDR. LDRs very seldom work, unless you have the time, the money and the way to visit each other often. Otherwise they remain in the realm of illusions and fantasies, and maybe your parents are not excited to see you wasting time, time that you could use for school or sports or friends, in something that most likely is a pipe dream.

Have you tried talking- really talking, not arguing or pouting- to your parents to find out if it's really just his race that bothers them ?
