Me and my girlfriend of about 15 months broke up about a month ago. I loved her more than anything and still do. I haven't had much relationship experience and as a result, said and did stupid things that ultimately caused the break. When I failed to give her space after the break up we got in a fight and the next day she starts seeing a new guy. This guy seems like the complete opposite of me and I wonder how it could ever work out. She moved really fast with him and now they are in a committed relationship, or at least when I asked her if she was she said "I guess."

I know this is a rebound relationship and I want to know if I stay friends with her and stick around long enough, will she come back to me? We had a great relationship for a time and have so much in common. She also says and does things that make me think there is a chance. The other week when I gave her cab fare to go to a party she said she loved me and gave me a kiss on the lips. Yesterday I asked her if I should forget about a fairy tale ending and she said "for now, and probably for a while." I am madly in love and want her back, what should I do??? Could her new relationship really last?

hey me again, talk to her tell her you understand she doesnt want to go out with you anymore but ask her if you can do things just as friends, if she says no or still keeps blowing you off then it is quite obvious that she has moved on and you've gt kno chance. sorry to put it bluntly xXx

Thanks guys, I appreciate the input. I really really would like to wait for her to come back to me. The problem right now I guess, besides the new guy, is her spending time with me. How can we be friends when she is constantly blowing me off to hang with her new bf? Should I bring this up to her or just forget about it and play it cool?

a similar thing happened to me a few months ago, i was wit a bloke for a year n a half n we split up because he was joining the army, he dumped me because i couldnt deal with him goin, we remained friends and we went out to the pub once a week, at first i begged and begged him to get back with me but with no success. i was still in love with him but realised that he ddnt wana be wit me any more. every week i put on my tight jeans and a tight top did my make-up (not dressed up though) just to subtly show him what he was missing. then one night when i was at the bar i was looking at him in the mirror and i saw him checkin me out, this was a sign that he wanted me back, that night he told me he found it so hard not to kiss me. a few weeks later we gt back together.

what im saying is dnt pressure her into gettin back with u, ask her if u can do things regularly as friends and show her what she is missing, tell her how much u still love her and let her kno that u will be there if she wants u back, going out as friends is the hardest fing to do but if she means that much u will want her in ur life any way possible. dont let her take advantage of u though, some girls will start playing with ur mind, if u suspect her of doing this then give up on her because she is not worth ur love xXx hope i help

act like you don't care but do it in a friendly way. Do not show any anger or show you are hurting. If you see her smile and say hi, have a quick chat but make sure you end the conversation by saying 'take care'.This is all you can do as any pressure will push her away. Also do not contact her and make her wonder what you are up to. You must also assume that it is over.keep fit, look good and date if you can. If she comes back then great and if not you are moving on.
