I just googled it to make sure:-
"Although you can not catch genital herpes through kissing, what can happen is the person with genital herpes can then develop Herpes Simplex (commonly called cold sores) which can then be spread by kissing.
The answer to not catching herpes simplex (cold sores) is to just not kiss anyone whilst they have one.
Also note that once you have had herpes simplex (cold sores) you have them for life. They might not show themselves for months (or even years on end) but the actual virus lives on within the brain (harmlessly) and comes out in physcial form when your immune system is low through illness or stress."
Hope that helps. x

As far as I know (and I may be corrected), the only way you could catch the herpes through kissing is if the other person has a cold sore or one erupting. I don't think you can get it through saliva.

If you have kissed someone with herpes already you could hav eit and not even know it at the moment. It can show up weeks later. There is no cure for herpes and the pills to help keep outbreaks to a min. are expensive. that person made the mistake don't make the same one
