Hi, I feel like life is passing me by,im 22 sitting at home when everyone else is out having a good time, enjoying their lives, i feel like i sabotage myself by turing down invitations and making impulsive stupid decisions.I didnt go out tonight because i felt i looked ugly and i didnt want people to see me looking awful,i also know that a guy i like will be out tonight and although im sure i will see him other nights i think that this is just another wasted chance to meet up with him,

I waste opportunities and i just dont know whats wrong with me, i have so many regrets, any advice?

It sounds like depression... I've been there, i did everything you mentioned when i was 21, life was passing by, and i seemed powerless. I just thought i didnt fit anywhere, with anybody. Now days, i think that i was mostly scared to face life, sometimes you dont even try so scared you are to fail. Of course i mean it in a unconscious way. You know, there is a quote that i read another day that say it all "the only prison there is is fear, and the true freedom is not to fear anymore". Just think this way, when you sabotage yourself, when you find a million reasons not to do something, or not to go somewhere, say to yourself, the only thing that is keepning you from living is fear. Then you are aware of that. Than make a promiss to yourself, that even though you are scared of something, you are gonna do it anyway. And do it. Doesnt matter if you fail, if you get embarrased, what other people think... just experience life on its fullest. You'll see its worth it. Its a everyday work (i still feel the same, i just dont let fear keep me from doing anything), but you can do it.

ps. it might be some kind of social phobia, look for a doctor, he can prescribe a med to balance the chemicals of your brain, i took antidepressants, and it helped me a lot!

Good luck!

Anastasia agony auntAre you not dressed yet??? Chick...I am sure you are beautiful and a joy to be around....and yeah...people give you invitations because they want to spent time with you, they like your vibe, they want to see you!!! OUT AND ABOUT!

And even though you like that guy, who knows he likes you too?!...or maybe someone nice will like you as well....you never know till you get out there!!!

Every morning, tell yourself affirmations...I am beautiful, I am wonderful, fabulous....when you get dressed, let yourself know you are looking fierce girl!! Get your toes done, give yourself a face mask,....do soomething funky with the hair!! These things boost your self esteem big time!! Stick an I pod in your ears with some " I am woman hear me roar" music!! Grrrrr!!

You can do this....you are wonderful...get out there and enjoy your life!!! LIVE!!!!!

The next time you get an invitation, accept it. Whoever gave out the invitation obviously didn't think you were ugly or you wouldn't have received it.
