writes: Hey, i have jst recently left school and i was particulary friendly with one deparment in my school, i got flute lessons and singing lessons and i would lvoe to get my two instructors a crad saying thanks and prehaps a small chocolate thing? there men, what do u think? there not young btw lolerm... and my music teacher i would love to buy him a present too, somethin maybe a bit bigger than chocolates, jst somethin that says thanks and somethin he will genuinely appreciate, any ideas? hoping to get them on sunday as i will be giving them to my teacher on monda as it will be the lasy ever time i will see him again. thankswbplease helpppp!xx

I think that if you want to give a good gift, you need to know the person. What he likes and such, it's kinda hard for "us, cupid" to give you good ideas like that.
A gift certificate to a store of his liking mby? A T-shirt with his name and a logo of his class? (Music things, or math formula etc...)

reader, anonymous, writes (29 May 2008): Yes of course that's fine! A lot of people give teachers presents when they are leaving as their way of saying thank you. I think it would be nice of you to do that and they would appreciate too, to know that they had helped someone :)
