If you were exposed to the human papilloma virus which then led to your cervical cancer, that could possibly be the reason. http://www.webmd.com/cancer/cervical-cancer/cervical-cancer-topic-overview "Most cervical cancer is caused by a virus called human papillomavirus, or HPV. You can get HPV by having sexual contact with someone who has it. There are many types of the HPV virus. Not all types of HPV cause cervical cancer. Some of them cause genital warts, but other types may not cause any symptoms."

"Almost all cervical cancers are caused by human papillomavirus (HPV), a common virus that can be passed from one person to another during sex. There are many types of HPV. Some HPV types can cause changes on a woman’s cervix that can lead to cervical cancer over time, while other types can cause genital warts.
HPV is so common that most people get it at some time in their lives. HPV usually causes no symptoms so you can't tell that you have it. For most women, HPV will go away on its own; however, if it does not, there is a chance that over time it may cause cervical cancer.
In addition to HPV, other things can increase your risk of cervical cancer. They include—
•Smoking.
•Having HIV (the virus that causes AIDS) or another condition that makes it hard for your body to fight off health problems.
•Using birth control pills for a long time (five or more years).
•Having given birth to three or more children."

You need to talk to your doctor about this. I am sorry for your diagnosis and your history, that is really difficult. Best wishes to you for a complete recovery.

You actually have cervical cancer or do you just have the HPV strain that can maybe cause cervical cancer?
If you have HPV then yes, you could have gotten it from that or if you've had sex before (protected or not). Otherwise, if you just have cervical cancer, being molested wouldn't have caused it. Either you're predesposed to cancer or you're not, so even if such events hadn't happened in your life, you would have gotten it anyway. In any case, sorry about both issues :( That really sucks.
