A female United States age 30-35, *verthinker writes:

Back in December my town had this "teen" dance thing - where all the high school in the area were invited.

i went with a few of my friends and saw a lot of people i knew there... i saw this kid who i meant through a friend, i didnt even talk to him at the dance, because i only met him once.

later that night after the dance -- i casually texed him and asked him if he enjoyed himself and stuff. the conversation carried on from 11pm till 2am. i got tired and told him to text me in the AM which he did.

Two weeks from the dance a group of my friends and his friends went glow bowling and everything seem normal until it was time to go and he wouldn't even say bye to me. i thought it was joke but it turns out it wasn't ... from this day forward he doesn't reply to my text or anything he didn't even wish me a happy birthday --- i don't know what to think.

ps while talking to him he mention about a school dance and how it was a "date" thing. i was hoping he would ask me, but by the looks of things he isn't going to ask me.

did i do something wrong?

Not at all. He just sounds like he's not interested if he's not answering. Young men aren't good at being tactful with young women. Don't think it was you, because it wasn't. He's just not yet mature enough in his head to handle dating and talking to girls and such. It wasn't you.
