A female reader, Artistry United States +, writes (5 June 2009):

Artistry agony auntHi, I write poetry sometimes in free verse form, not rhyming words most of the time. So I would suggest that you take a little time and write down the good things you remember about your relationship since you have been together, the funny things, the ironic things, whatever has happened that makes you a couple. Then review them and begin to put them in your own words sentence by sentence in some order. After you do that, then re-read and write it in its final form. However it turns out, she will appreciate it as it comes from your heart.

Good luck with the poem, I am sure it will be nice. Take care. Here's a suggestion for a title: "You and Me and All That is and is to Come"!
