reader, anonymous, writes (15 March 2008): you could write a cliche:
"roses are red,
violets are blue,
sugar is sweet,
but nnot as sweet as you"
OR
you could just tell her how you feel about her:
"im probably about to make a HUGE fool of myself, but i just have to let you know that i really like you and i really want to go out with you. please be my girlfriend"
both of these sound eally soppy, but i can guarante you that they will impress her

How about:
Roses are red,
grass is green,
I like your legs,
especially what's between.
Just funnin' with you.
Seriously, just be yourself and tell her how she makes you feel. Nothing too mushy or corny though.

Sending you a beautiful red rose to say,
"Happy Valentine's Day !"
Everyday is a Valentine's day and I will always think of you .
You are so sweet and beautiful
You make my world full of happiness and joy.
That I cannot help but like you more and more each day.

I would suggest DO NOT write anything like this. If a guy wrote me something like this I would be totally creeped out.
"I like you" is better.
"You were the first person that I thought of when they told me that I could send roses to someone I like and also support this charity event. I hope that you enjoy these roses.
Your Admirer, ______________." I like this one the best.
Overall it's a tricky situation. Don't sound desperate, needy or creepy though. That would be horrible.

Alright, first off just clear your mind of everything but this girl. Make it so all your thinking about is her. Make it where all you see when you close your eyes is her face.
Next, just write down (not directly on the card in case you mess up) how you feel about her. Let her know she is the taste on your lips, the very air you breath, the light in your darkness. Let her know she is the last thing you think about at night and the first thing you think about in the morning. Just tell her whatever comes across your mind. And stay away from things like "your hott" and "I'd love to do you". No girl wants to hear that. What she wants to hear are your words telling her how you love her more then anything else on this world.
I know this sounds scary and complicated, but its not. Just tell her what your heart is screaming for you to say. Just sit down, by yourself, with no one around but a picture of her and a piece of paper and write what comes across your mind as you stare at her pretty face.
And in the end, if it sounds stupid to you, don't just ditch it! stupid to guys is actually pretty cute to girls. Some of us like to be reminded that guys are only human. Some of us find those little rambling slip-ups cute.
Good luck and remember to just listen to your heart.

just my 2cents.
