 I saw some really good advice about this once. It was, spend some time getting to know the penis. Spend some time just playing with it, getting familiar with it, touching it. Have him take a shower first so that it is nice and clean. I doubt he'll mind.
I'd suggest starting by just kissing it and maybe licking it before you take it into your mouth. No rush and I'm sure he'll appreciate everything you do.

 Don't be scared. There's really no reason to be nervous, he'll just be hella happy you're going down on him in the first place :D. He'll be too busy feeling good, he won't be judging you or thinking about anything else that may be running through your head when you're about to attempt oral.
