Hey guys - I need some ideas for something special I can do for my boyfriend. We're both sixteen and have been together a long while; we're happy I guess but recently it hasn't been quite so ... I dunno, nothing's wrong but I think we've been a bit more distant and not so loved-up. I don't feel I've been a great girlfriend at times so I want to make up for it.

I want to do something for him to show him how much I love and appreciate him, and just to make him happy :D I always think it's much easier for guys haha, they can just turn up with roses or take their girl out for shopping and a meal or something ... you can't really do the same for guys, because, well, they're male! I want to be romantic I suppose but he's a teenage guy :/

Any suggestions would be great, thanks so much :) x

justme..x agony auntThank you both for the suggestions! And to duckyhelp, I did actually make him a scrapbook for our anniversary (tonnes of photos all printed and captioned in order like you said. It was all beautifully decorated and stuff too.) He absolutely adored it, so I'm sure yours will go down well with your boyfriend haha :)

Anyway, despite your suggestions I did have a brainwave of my own I'll explain what I'm going to do in case anyone reads this looking for ideas themselves :))

I read online about putting romantic messages in balloons and handing your partner a drawing pin, so I kind of extended that. Basically I've got red (for love) and blue (his fav. colour) balloons. I'll alternate them and shape them into the letter H (his initial). There will be fifteen, which is his lucky number, and inside each is something I love or appreciate about him, as well as a loveheart sweet. Where possible the sweet will correspond to the message (e.g. if I mention his mushy text, I'll put the loveheart "text me" or whatever).

He's coming over on Wednesday and I'm going to leave it as a complete surprise for him :) it sounds lame written down but I think it strikes just the note I wanted to achieve - sweet and original but not too extortionate.

Hopefully it'll make him happy, wish me luck haha! Thanks again guys! :) xx

Duckyhelp agony auntIf you taken pictures over the time you have been together, make a photo album/scrapbook thing. In order of age of photos with a caption underneath to show how much you guys have grown closer ect and the fun you have.

I am in a similar situation with my bf and i am planning to do this for him as im sure he will love something hand made as it shows the effort i have put into it! You know, stickers, little poem extracts that show how i feel :)

Hope i helped you! Good luck and say what you came up with, could help others in similar situations ;)
