writes: I'm a 23 years old male virgin. At a young age i was sexually abused by a former class mate in middle school. I've had depression, anxiety and lack of confidence as long as i can remember. After high school these symptoms got extremely severe and my close friends and family noticed these changes.at the age of 18 i started sessions with various therapists and psychologists. I've reached a point in my life where i live on my own, have a great job, and have a great relationship with friends and family. I've never had a relationship with a girl im not sure why. Maybe because im afraid of it leading to sex, lack of confidence in myself, maybe being sexually abused as a child has taken away the interest of sex. I've discussed this with my friends, therapist, family and whomever i could talk to. Im asking for your help or suggestions. Thank you.

Do you know any girls you would like to date, are you in a position that you're meeting new people? When you do find someone you're interested in, after a few dates tell her about your past, and take things slowly, any girl that is worth it will understand and be prepared to do this. If your nervous about approaching girls maybe talking to female friends would help, if you dont have any then maybe that would be a good place to start- talking to girls with just the intention of becoming friends- it could help build your confiednce up. Good luck
