writes: When I got married my sister was my bridesmaid, now she is getting married and she has asked all her friends and half sister in law, but not me.She says because I have children I cannot be her bridesmaid because I'll be looking after them at the reception.I don't know if I can go now. I'll be so upset if I go, and upset if I don't. There's very little I get to do that's fun being a stay at home mum, I was really looking forward to this.

reader, anonymous, writes (9 July 2008): I'm the OP,thing is my husband would be there so it's not like there'd be nobodywith them. One of her bridemaids has a 6 month old babywhowill be far more demanding on her than my older children on so it's just not fair.

Yes i can see that this would upset you, after all she was bridesmaid at your wedding. Im sure that if you were bridesmaid then there are members of your close family that would look after your children while you were doing this. Have you spoken to her one to one and told her how upset you are that she has asked all her friends and not you?. If you are not bridesmaid just go to the wedding and be supportive of you Sisters special day, im sure you will have a lovely time anyway.
