I've known him for 6 years and he really is the loveliest guy I know and we've been friends for ages. We were sat next to each other and out of the blue he looks at me and asks if he can kiss me, and even more surprising to myself, I said yes. We kissed so many times I barely remember how many, and I know it was obviously the alcohol talking. I don't really have much experience in that area (and I know he doesn't either), and it didn't seem like a big deal at the time but now I've sobered up and had a while to think, I keep thinking about it. I'd never looked at him twice before but now I just can't stop thinking about it. If there's nothing there, then I won't take it as a big deal, but should I text him just to be certain?

Give him a text and just be friendly with him see where the conversation goes.

Sure text him. It can't hurt. Try to find out if he already has a partner. New Year's Eve has a lot of kissing going on and much of it is meaningless. Do you think he felt the connection too?
