hey my best friend got it and she bleed for like a month.but other then that she went back and the docs just told her just wait it out it normal for some ppl cuz it was like a lite period for a month then the last week like a heavy one then it stopped and when she started having intercourse it was all good for her she loves it. And honestly she sleeps around a lot and she has yet to get knocked up.so good luck with it if you get it. It might just depen on ur body. That other girl seemed to like it so at least if u dont like it u can take it out,right?good luck hun!

 ok i have got the implannon and this is my second one..for me its like heaven i have aperiod like once every 6 months its bliss...with the implannon it works differently for everyone..they give you a annastetic then they tell you to look away put it in and give you a stitch and a plaster then they want to see it again in 6 months just to make sure its fine.. depending on the one you get it will be either 3 years or 5 years.. you may have light or heavy bleeding or none at all but with time you will find out but i would give it atleast 3 months before you make a descion if you want to keep it or get it removed..most people think ewww its under the skin it will annoy you when i got my first one it bothered me for two weeks then i forgot about it its like a piercing really lol..the effects really are the same as the pill bloating food increase so forth but really i cannot fault the implannon and i have never got pregnant once either. everything has side effects but doesnt mean to say you will get any of them...heres a site that will tell you more about it side effects and what not http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/sex_relationships/facts/contraceptiveimplant.htm hope that helps aphex xxx good luck
