writes: Okay im almost 19 and i have been in love with my tutor/teacher for the entire year. he is 30. i do a casual course, we go out partying with our teachers and stuff, its great fun. i cannot stop thinking about him it is driving me insane. i even feel awkward talking to him and try to avoid him which is not what i want to do at all, because he is really great to talk to, we have a few heart to hearts. i dont know if he knows how i feel, i want him to know but i dont want to tell him. hes a mate too so its not like a formal teacher relationship. the course finishes in a few weeks and we are gonna have a huge end of year party with money we have earnt through shows we have done. and im heading off to do another course, he asked me to come back and help tutor some new students after i do my course but that wont be for a year. i dont know what to do, i dont want to leave him, hes just a bloody cool guy, disorganised, but great. i have no idea how he feels. help!

reader, anonymous, writes (29 October 2010): Tell him how you feel a few weeks after the course ends. Visit him or shoot him an e-mail. If he responds professionally, don't take it too hard. I've been in this situation and it's been hard for me.
You sound like you genuinely care about him. If he feels the same way, then that's great.
