Well an hour ago we had the longest texting session ever! Ugh my bill!!! Anyway he asked if I was a virgin I had suspected he was and I was right, he said he was waiting for the right person and the right moment! Yay and good for you I say!! when I told him I was not a virgin he seemed different, said to take care and he will call me later. I like this guy, I want to sleep with him but I completely respect his wishes to wait, if not for me than for whomever he chooses. Why did he get so weird with me? How can I make sure our friendship doesn't unravel because of this awkwardness? I like him a lot, he doesn't seem to be the FWB type, I know I'm not. I feel unsettled...

If he doesn't want to continue with you, try not to take it personally.
Virgins seeking fellow virgins don't have any choice but to do things this way. There is no socially acceptable way for someone in his position to screen out non-virgins at the beginning of the dating process. Not even most religious singles environments allow for it these days.
