I told him I liked him but nothing's changed! I'm afraid we will drift apart!

Question - (15 March 2013) 1 Answers - (Newest, 11 April 2014)
A female Ireland age 26-29, *adridista writes:

So, I got really close to this guy before and we constantly flirted and texted. One day, I told him to his face that I liked him and his reply was 'that's ok with me' and laughed it off. Unfortunately things have been the same since. I haven't texted him since and the only time we actually talk is when we say hi to each other in the school corridors or if he walks in to me 'accidentally' when he's just playing. I miss how close we used to be. But the other day I saw his ask.fm page and someone asked him if he liked anyone. His reply was 'yes I kind of like a girl at the moment :P' I'm almost positive its me because he also shared a photo on facebook before about how he misses not talking to someone everyday. The thing is, if it really was me he liked, why doesn't he just text me again? I'm not sure what to do, should I wait for him or should I make the first move? He's a great guy and I'm afraid if I wait too long we will drift apart and that really is the worst thing that could happen! Please help!

Text him saying 'hi, how are you?'

I don't understand the whole girl must wait for guy thing, get out there. I've struggled in the past to make the first move but it shimmies things along.

Let him know you still want to talk without almost screaming in his face that you want him. Just be normal with him and let things fall into place.
