I told her I was in the university but I'm not. Now what?

Question - (26 January 2011) 5 Answers - (Newest, 27 January 2011)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I'm a 17 year old lesbian and a couple of weeks ago met this gorgeous woman at a bar. We really hit it off, kissed, exchanged numbers and haven't seen other since. We've been texting since that night, but the only problem is I told her I was in university...Just a couple of days I ago I received a friend request from her on Facebook. I'm DYING to accept but am afraid if I do she will find out that I lied about my age. I could always put her on an extremely limited profile option (i.e. she can't see my photo albums, can't see what other people write on my wall)--but I feel like she would become suspicious of that. Last night I texted her and she never responded...I'm afraid she's offended perhaps that I haven't responded to her request (I haven't rejected it, just not accepted it yet). Should I accept her, or just not respond and if she asks me tell her I never use Facebook? I really want to accept but I feel like it might become tedious monitoring myself.

I'm guessing the reason you lied was because you wanted to impress her and because she's older. Well, the truth will come out somehow, so I would just be honest with her if I were you. Better sooner than later, if you still want to have a shot at this that is.

Just call her up and tell her. But most of all, tell her why.

uhhhhh this is a tough one!!! man..comine from a lesbian & an experienced lier.. i would say lie & deny til you die honestly. but I just got caught doing that.. and it was a bad mistake.. =/ all you can do is just be honest. think about it.. say you hide it for now.. if you guys did become serious..shed find out later anyways & be more upset then & prob not ever trust you again or want to look past it. itll be hard but just be honest. expect her request & tell her that u lied bc you were into her & you didnt know what shed think and that u hope she can look past it & still talk to you.. just curious though.. how old is she??
