Last June, I found out through, believe it or not, a Facebook chat, that he liked another girl from our old school. I was caught off guard, because I thought he had had a crush on me, but he didn't. So that ended the whole misunderstanding. However, now when I see him at school, I feel really awkward and don't know what to do. Also, I've started to have dreams about him and such.... I think I'm either in a crush with Conner, or just uncomfortable around him. But is it possible to be in a crush when you didn't like somebody in the first place when you thought he liked you? I am really confused.I know he likes me as a friend, but what should I do?

Love is a hard thing to explain and at the age of 17 it can be easily misunderstand. I'd say you should take it easy, just see what will happen. After all, he's still your friend, no matter if he wants to have sex with you or not. I mean, you do care about him, right? If so, let him make his choice between you and the other friend.
You can, of course, 'push' things a little, they're many ways to show him you want him. But there's also a risk that he wants only your friendship and then he will, also, feel uncomfortable around you. And this could destroy your friendship.
In other words, try not to lose what you already have. Being friends is the first step, after all.
