Don't recreate history. You see this man around and it reignites emotions from a time when you were probably young, and you want to go back to one day of carefree times...people change. You may find that on the surface he is the same but he has moved on/changed as have you. A fling or lusting after an old flame is short-lived and causes emotional turmoil. My daughter asks me all the time if I am going to have another baby with her Daddy. He cheated on me, but it is hard to explain why I don't love him but we love her. Kids aren't stupid. Let him go...your flutter you get in your stomach should be all that it is when you see him.

reader, anonymous, writes (15 April 2007): Personally i think you should stay with the guy your with since you have a child together, it would be a horrible experience for your child to go through, if you left to be with another man. For now, try being friends with your first love.. Good luck!
