reader, anonymous, writes (26 April 2009): It happens. It's hard to keep a relationship alive, current and relevant over a large number of years.
All I can suggest is to think of what brought you together in the first place. Are there things you used to like to do together that you've let fall by the wayside? Are there new things you could suggest that might engage the two of you as a couple?
You didn't mention kids -- is that an issue here?
In the end, though, if she's not willing to communicate or engage, then yes, the marriage may indeed be over.
