writes:I have a problem. Today i was looking through the history file to find a website i forgot the address to, but i couldn't find it as i was last on the internet on saturday night. I come on this morning, and find weird addresses in the history that are obviously porn. This isn't really my problem as its my dad that's viewing these things not my boyfriend. I'm 16, so i'm wondering is this like normal for a married man, and i'm stuck on whether to tell my mum about this. I remember about 4 months there was a dirty vid on windows media player and i'm the only one who uses it so i asked my dad how it got there and he said it must be a virus or something.So do you think i'm just worrying over nothing? and should i tell my mum?

reader, anonymous, writes (5 June 2006): Oh my god this very thing happened to me!!! I found a site about Chicks with Dicks on my Dad's computer. Fortunately (or not), my mum walked in the second I discovered it so I showed her. It was very embarrassing. Then my Dad came home and we jokingly confronted him about it and he used exactly the same excuse about a virus. yeah Right! I think in my case ,my Dad was just having a laugh at it but it still left a bitter taste in my mouth I can tell you. For ages I couldn't look at him the same. I'd say don't tell your mum hun, just moniter it discreetly. If it seems a regular occurence then you know it ain't no virus. If that happens then mention to your mum that it is on there and say you think there might be a virus..... ball is in her court to then check it out. I feel for you chick, this is tres embarrassing!! Good luck, and try to keep stuff in perspective honey xxxx

Maybe if she doesnt mind, and you tell her, she could talk to your dad about being a little more discreet about it and not make you feel awkward because you find these sites of porn that he looks like (I feel awkward just knowing that my parents look at porn too! Its a funny picture) or if she does mind tell her anyway, because maybe he might be looking at escort services or dating services of some sort. If it were my mom I'd tell...Hope this helps.

 Maybe your Dad is watching porn...maybe your Mother is watching porn...either way it would not be a good idea to talk to her about it. Maybe she knows he is looking at this and doesn't mind. It doesn't sound like these are dating websites and he is cheating. If you really feel you must act on it then go to him and make a joke about it. It may embarrass him into being a little more discrete! It won't stop him looking though.
