I think I'm falling for my friend, how should I go about this without making it weird?

A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I think I'm falling for this boy who I know from when we were 5 years old. But we never really clicked in that way, or never really thought about eachother in that way. And now it seems like we are getting along so well, we chat every day, see eachother a lot and always flirt with eachother. But nothing really happens because I think we both don't know what it is and we don't want to make it weird and show it to our other friends..

What should I do?

I don't really want to talk about it with him, because I think it will make it all more weird.

I already talked about it with one of my friends who also knows him very well, but she was shocked with my story. She never saw that coming and warns me to not do it! Not go further with it.. But it all happens without me trying..

The most weird part is .. he is 3 years younger than me, my mom hates him and he's a best friend from my brother..

A male reader, kimostuff Egypt +, writes (2 August 2012):

kimostuff agony auntI think the whole issue is full of problems:

1-You know him since you were 5 years old.

2-He is younger than you.

3-He is your brother's friend.

4-Your friend thinks it is weird.

All the indicators say that you have to stop it and don't go further with it.

But in my opinion , I think u should know first if he has the same feelings towards you, do you feel that he has the click which gives you a green light to continue?

If yes , so don't give any attention to all the problems you are thinking about, and start talking to him about it.

If no, so I think that you have to forget all about it so you don't ruin your friendship with him ... and start ,maybe, to see some one else.

Good Luck
