I think I scared him off, but would at least like to be friends, how can do this without thinking I have feelings ?

I liked this boy . a real lot . but i think i scared him away one day we just stoped talking . i would say anything in conversation to get his interest just to talk to him . I still liek him now and ill be going to his school soon i odnt know what to do because we arnt really even friends anymore . but i would liek to have some form of relationship with him even if it is just frineds. what should i do to get his attention without it being to noticeable that i still have feelings for him? or even just to be friends.
