writes:I'm really stuck at the moment. I haven't liked someone properly since my last ex, we broke up in June. Since i dumped him, he's dated this new girl, slept with her, and cheated on her by sleeping with her (he asked me for sex but i told him to bugger off). I couldn't trust him while we dated, which was why i broke it off, but it's kinda messed up my trust in people.A week back i met 2 guys at a gig, and got their email addies (lame but still contact) and i've chatted to one a few times, he seems really nice. I wanna meet up with him again but he doesn't talk to me much, and i don't want to seem desperate...i think i really might like him, but i don't know how to handle it..help?

 it would be easier on the people involved in the relationship if you had contact besides on just msn like at school or from a local organization. Also don't be so desperate for a boyfriend...you're still young concentrate on other things that you enjoy and the right person will come around.

reader, anonymous, writes (12 October 2008): Don't worry about your ex, you did the write thing by saying no to him when he wanted sex. He sounds horrible and you are well lucky to be away from him. As for not liking someone for ages, four or five months is not to long. I met my boyfriend about four months after my ex and we have been tog ether nearly nine months and are very happy. Just email this boy and ask if he is going to another gig soon and if he is say that you would love to go and ask if he would mind if you tagged along. Im sure he wont. Good luck.
