 Well am a girl but i have gay and bi friends and if he is hinting on to you then you are more than likely right, but before you ask him, is he a friend that you can really trust? if he is then maybe flirt back with him and see what happpens. Good luck.

 Keep your eyes/ears, etc open for more signs... and possibly flirt back a little. Sounds like your friend might me a little LESS straight than you think he is.
