I think about her all the time

Question - (14 January 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 16 January 2009)
A male United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I just want to know if I'm the only guy like this. I'd ask my male buddies, but they'd give me a hard time about the whole thing.

I am 29-years-old, and I have been dating this girl(also 29) for 11 months. I am completely nuts about her. Although I know she can't be perfect, I would have a hard time thinking of anything negative to say about her. She is pretty, sweet, smart, and fun to hang out with.

The thing is, I think about her constantly. When I wake up, she is the first thing on my mind. I have a hard time getting anything done during the day because I'm always fantasizing about her. I used to be this workaholic, go getter type, and now I have a hard time getting even the simplest task done because I am too busy thinking about my girl. She's visiting a friend overseas right now, and I can't even sleep at night because she's gone for the next two weeks. The only time I ever really feel calm and content is when I am with her.

Do other people my age get this caught up in a girl? I thought I'd get over but it just gets stronger the longer we're together. I've never been like this in other relationships. I know I love her. I just worry that I'm obsessed. I don't want to scare her away.

SmoothCoffee64 agony auntHello,

I'm 40+ married about 11yrs. I love my husband to death.

But,I realize that my world just don't revolve around him, and his world just don't revolve around me.

You must give each other space to venture out.

Do, you have any hobbies, join a club, or gym. Try to get involve with some social organizations. Try to keep your mind occupy on something, other than foucsing on her.

There a saying absent of the heart makes the heart grow fonder.

I miss him when he gone or not around. To keep from worrying. I say a little prayer, sure that he will return.

Good Luck
