I used to take my contraceptive pill in the evening. But At the end of the cycle I Was on, after my break i decided it would suit me better to take it in the morning when I woke-up.

Is this still Protecting me as i switched from one to the other? Because i slept with my boyfriend un-protected.

cd206 agony auntYeah I know what you meant but it still depends on the brand of your pill. And the twelve hour rule still applies because if on the first day you start taking your pill again your body expects it at 7am for example and you don't take it until 10pm then it's more than a twelve hour gap. You really need to read the instructions or speak to your doctor.

Thanks. I know About the 12 hour gap. But what i meant was you take it for 21 days then have a 7 day gap. So after my 7 day gap, when i restarted taking my new pack of pills i took it that morining insted of at night and have been taking it in the morning ever since.

cd206 agony auntThis really depends on what type of pill you're on and which brand. The general rule is that you're not protected for a week following one time of taking your pill twelve hours late but every pill is different. I recommend reading the instructions to find out what's up with yours.
