Then ask yourself 'is he really worth it?' There are plenty of other guys out there who would treat you with respect. He probably only asked to stay friends so he didn't look bad anyway. My ex did this to me and even though I was besotted at the time, when I found out what he'd supposedly done the only thing I felt was malice! However karma came back to bite him in the arse, I'm in a good relationship with a guy who was already my friend, but the girl my ex left me for dumped him after one day for a girl! You may experience a similar story if you let yourself move on from him =]

Hm, that must hurt a lot, and it seems like you are feeling betrayed. Only time heals, but try not to think about it. Try not to be alone, go out with friends, keep busy. Maybe join a club or something that will help keep your mind off of him and the situation. Whenever I feel down or after a break up, I tend to pamper myself. I go out and get my hair done, and I do my nails and I go shopping. It feels nice just taking care of yourself and putting yourself first. Also, going to the gym or staying active lifts your spirits too! Or take a nice bubble bath, listen to some of your favorite songs, watch all your favorite movies. Have a girls night! It will get better, trust me!
Stay strong! It'll be ok!
