More of a medical problem which is causing relationship problems.Lately I've had a couple of black outs, both in work and most recently at home.I don't know why they've come on so suddenly, or what they're in aid of.The first one I was awake in work serving a que of customers when all of a sudden I forgot were I was and what I was doing, I had to look around and ask my colleuges what I was doing there. The next time was the other day when my boyfriend was due to come to mine, he stressed on the phone to makesure I was in as he was coming a long way. I don't remember feeling sleepy or even lying down, all I remember is waking up with that same feeling, wondering were I was and what I was doing-how I'd gotten there. That's happened several times since and each time my boyfriend has fallen out with me. He now thinks something is going on as I'm never in or never answer the door. He no longer trusts me and doesn't believe me when I try explaining to him.I don't want to see a doctor as I need my drivers licence and I'm scared he will take it off me(sounds stupid but I can't work without it).Can anyone explain this to me? Is it stress-related etc??Thankyou in advance for your replies. Reply to this Question Share |

You need to see a doctor NOW! Losing your license should be the least of your concerns if you are abruptly and inexplicably losing consciousness randomly.
Additionally, if you lose consciousness while driving and cause an accident that injures or kills another person, you are guilty of negligent homicide because you CHOSE to drive after having multiple episodes where you suddenly lost consciousness.
Do the right thing and see a doctor. If money is an issue, use the internet to find a non-profit hospital in your area.

The NHS have a website that includes a symptom checker. Here's the link: http://www.nhs.uk/nhsdirect/pages/symptoms.aspx
If you run your symptoms there, they'll pretty much tell you to seek medical advice fairly soon. Hope that helps move you toward the sensible thing to do!

You have to see a doctor. You may have a medical condition that needs treatment. Don't put it off. Be well.
