writes: quick question here, do you think that you can fall in love with someone after just spending half a day with them?because i've been with my boyfriend for nearly 6 months now and we met at college, had coffee, talked for hours on end until we had to catch our buses home. we shared our first kiss that very same day and decided to start officially going out the day after.i'm wondering what people think about fast forming relationships.i wouldn't say that my boyfriend's "the one" because i think believing that there is only one person out there for someone is ridiculous. but i do care about him more than i have ever cared about anyone in my short life so far. and that feeling hasn't waned in the 6 months we've been together. there's no worship, no idolization, least not from my part, just a lot of love.but i digress. please tell me what you think, i don't mind what you say, i'm after opinions, not congrats thanks anon xx Reply to this Question Share |

i never really had the butterfly feeling, i mean i'm getting a bit excited over the thought that we're coming up to 6 months now but i've never got giddy over certain things he does. (i look forward to seeing him, but i don't pine over the moment that we're together again)
but anyway, thanks again for your opinions ^^

Definitely not after only a few hours. You can develop feelings of infatuation/those honeymoon phase hormones, but it's not the same as love. It can feel very very powerful, in fact I'd say it feels a lot more "urgent" than real love. Like your heart flutters at the thought of seeing him again, everything from the way he smiles to the weird way he props his feet up or whatever makes you feel like mush, etc... but it's a different sensation than love. After 6 months definitely, but half day, no.
