A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Hi,

I broke up with my ex gf a month ago. We had a 2 years relationship. We were both serious even though we knew that we had to break up someday because I wanted to have a "normal" family. She's a bi but I'm straight. I just fell for her, but not any other girl. I really miss her even though we broke up. She said she doesnt want relationship right now, but only wanna focus on school. I really wanted her to come back to me, but I dont know how because i was the one who initiated the break-up. However, she wanted it too. It seems like every time i see her, me being too emotional (crying and crying) seem to show her that it's the right thing to break up with me. I dont know if she moved on or not, but I truly want her back. what can I do?

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (19 May 2009):

It's not fair of you want to want her back when you plan to break her heart at some point and swan off to marry some boy.

You won't even say you are anything but straight!

How is she supposed to feel when you have these as the basis for your relationship?

You have to let her go now rather than hurt her more later.

Sorry, but she is only protecting herself.

Good Luck!! xx
