I understand how you feel, and it's really hard - I know. The one thing I didnt do, that I hope you dont either, is approach him and confess how you feel. It'll only mess things up. But for now, just keep your head in your studies. And keep your guards up - don't confuse true love with lust. I wish you the very best tho.

What he'll also have is quite a few years of study behind him & a long, profitable career ahead of him that he is not going to throw away.
If anything did happen between you, he would be arrested. I'm not exactly sure of the laws in the UK with regards to age, but I'm assuming they'd be similar to Australia (which is where I'm from), and here a girl must be 16 to give consent to sex. BUT if it's with a person whose care she is under (including a teacher), she must be 18.
Sorry --- I don't think he's going to risk jail for you.
You'll just have to daydream.
Don't worry though -- we've all been there, done that (I had a huge crush on one of my teachers for ages). You get over it eventually, even though you don't think you will!
