A female United Kingdom age 30-35, *tressed writer writes:

Okay so here's the problem. I really like this guy. Same old, same old. I'm very, very shy around guy's and have had a few bad experiences. My friend says that he's no good for me. also he likes another girl. this is a well known fact. I personally don't like her and find very vain and annoying. she treats him like her play thing, messing him around in front of everyone. Their both leaving school soon and I'm off away for a long time so time is running out. I just need advise about what to do. help.

Man have I been in this position! I think I am THE shyest person in existence - sometimes I get too afraid to put my hand up in class, so when I wanted to talk to my crush, things didn't look too great.

What I've found helps is a mutual friend or just a friend you can be with to initiate conversation. If you have a close friend that's great at talking then get her in on your crush and get her to help out!

It worked for me :) Me and my crush are pretty good friends now, and I can talk to him without any nervous feelings. :D

Ok, so I know you are nervous around guys, but I've found that good can come out of taking a deep breath and saying what you feel. Even if your just acting confident a lot of guys like confidence so just take a breath and take a chance, you don't hav to worry about things being awkward if your both leaving so just take a chance and say what's on your mind!

Love and Luck!

Zanie agony auntWell, I guess you won't know if you have a chance, until you try. It can't hurt to tell him how you feel.
