I started to like him after asking his friends about him, and got to be in a group with him on a class trip. Then, we parted ways and he went to the other middle school. Now that we're all together in Highschool, i've found time to talk to him. He doesn't know that I used to like him, but I still do. He's very kind and sweet towards everyone, and is a very easy person to get along with. He donates to charities and helps out in tons of afterschool activities, plus participates in drumline. I see him a lot in the band room, since we're both in band. He says hi to me in the hall and defended me when a perverted boy from our grade tried to sexually harass me. I really like him, but I'm afraid that it will make the new friendship awkward. I don't want to ruin it! What can I do? Reply to this Question Share |

He knows. He's probably terrified to ask you to date him, though. He might even feel the same way you do.
How would you handle seeing him with a new girlfriend? Would you be happy for him, not bothered at all? (If so, just be friends) Or would you be hurt by seeing them together?
No friendship lasts forever, and neither does a relationship. So, decide what you want more, and enjoy it as long as it lasts!
If you want to date him, make sure he doesn't have a girlfriend, take him out on a simple date, and at the end of it, kiss him.
