okay, if my answer doesnt make sense, come back and I will try and change the words.
This seems to me like an impossible task, if he doesnt like you now, how can that change within two weeks? You cannot perform miracles, and magic wands just dont work.
How unkind of him to dangle a carrot in front of you, when all he has to do is change the rules, or make up some rules, or even step sideways to make it impossible for you to grab the carrot.
The best thing you can do is try and turn this into a joke, so that you are not busting a gut trying to please him, with him watching you like a mouse in a maze.
Turn this into a joke, so that you at least can come out of it smiling with your dignity intact. Go to a toy shop and buy that magic wand, and whenever the subject is brought up, wave the wand and say abracadabra. At least this way you all, him and you and your friends, might come out the other end smiling rather than feeling dejected and rejected.
