I really care for him but I don't want him to lose his job!

Question - (19 March 2011) 1 Answers - (Newest, 21 November 2011)
A female Canada age 51-59, anonymous writes:

hello, ok there is this guy who is a little bit older than i am, and he has told me that he has feelings for me, and i have fallen in love with him. the only thing is that this situation is kind of complicated. he works for the landlord of the building i live in as a maintenance worker, and i am a tenant in the building where his boss is my landlord. i can tell by the way we talk to each other on the phone and interact in person that we really care for each other and that he really cares about me. however, i don't want him to get in trouble and lose his job and i don't want to get evicted - since if we were openly dating it would seem like a conflict of interest. i really want to tell him how i feel about him, and i'm not sure whether he or i would get in trouble if we were to date when he isn't working, and yes i have thought of moving out somewhat so we could date, possibly moving in together but that might be a bit premature at this point

aunt honesty agony auntWhat you and him do in your own private life has nothing to do with your landlord and his boss, I think you are looking way to much in to this and creating a problem where there is not one. You and him are free to date whoever you like so go for it and tell him you like him.
