 Well, it makes since that you start opening up when you get a drink or two into your system. That's why they call alcohol "truth serum", because suddenly the truth starts pouring out of you - be it good or bad.
It loosens up your nerves a bit too.
What you need to focus on is relaxing enough when you're sober to have a nice face-to-face conversation with your man. I'd be hurt too if the only time my boyfriend could express his feelings were when he was drunk.
Now, your man should've told you himself. And you might want to mention that to him, but I think you owe him a little apology - or at least tell him how you feel without being drunk.
Communication is key to love.
