Too right this is making you sound like a dick! If you cared about her and really wanted to be with her you wouldn't care what anyone else thinks!

If you care more about what other people think of you than your relationship with this girl, then I a) feel sorry for you and b) hope one day you realise that you've gotta do your own thing in life and sod what everyone else thinks. Really unimpressed with the last person's answer too. Honestly, what's more important? Friendship and laughs and getting on with people you life - or what others think about you? Common... as if you should even have to think about that.
