writes:I need to understand this guy's behaviour. He is a lot older than me. Lets call him jacob. There are times when he is so warm and friendly towards me. He stares at me and treats me differently to everyone else like I'm the only one he sees. Then other times, suddenly and unprovoked he completely ignores me. It's like I'm not even there. He talks with other women and other guys but it's like he hates me. This has been on and off for two years. What happened? I mean sometimes he stares to the point I'm damn uncomfortable. Then other times it's like I've done something horribly wrong to him. Any insight? thank you!! He also is very social but when it comes to me he makes small talk and just smiles. reader, anonymous, writes (5 April 2011): i have experienced something similar but fortunatly it worked out for me. have you tried talking to him?It sounds like he does like you but is just shy and nervous around you. Just speak to him an see how it goes x
