Hi
When you start a new job they usually ask about and honour any planned holidays
However I am sure your friend will be pleased for you and not mind in the least that you are postponing.
Congratulations too.

Dear (friends name),
I am so sorry to have bad news for us that is good news for me!
I have accepted an awesome job opportunity that means that it is not good timing to take a vacation!
This is wonderful for my career success, but means that I have to post-pone my visit for awhile, until I can settle in and show my new employer I am reliable!
I know you will be happy for me; thank-you for understanding! I apologize if you have been inconvenienced in any way over this.
I am quite disappointed that I can't visit you when we had planned. I will tell my employer about this, and ask when would be a more appropriate time for me to book time away.
Sincerely, (your name)
