It may sound very hard to ask a guy out, but just be casual and friendly. Ask him if he's going to the dance, with anyone. Say something like this, " Hey, since Homecoming's tonight, if you aren't attached or anything, wanna come with me? Just as friends? I think it would be cool". Ask a guy friend or pal.
No, it's not lame to not want to party after a dance. Dances are tiring, after all. I've never wanted to party after a dance. Just politely say you're tired, and feel like heading home.
Being not part of a group isn't that bad, it's better not to be in a group! You've got more independence, and can be yourself.
