reader, anonymous, writes (5 February 2007): firtly become friends and develop that relationship and maybe ask for his mobile number so you can text him. either texting or e-mail is probably the easiest way to ask a guy out. if you aretrying to pluck up the courage write down all the good pionts about youself and by the end of the list you will have so many things you will probably think "what is there not to like about me?" so then go for it. if you get rejected laugh it off and don't show your true emotion. tell him it was a dare from your friends or a joke just to find out the awnser. but if he acepts... WELL DONE YOU!!! good luck.

Perhaps start not by asking him out, but rather by giving him the feeling that if he asks you out you'll accept. Be friendly to him, smile at him, make eye contact. Then talk with him and just try to be natural and yourself. It's clear you like him, so if you just act natural he'll pick up on your feelings and if he likes you he'll drop more and more hints.
If he completely fails to get the message, then consider more drastic action! But try that for now. Men do like to be the one taking initiative a lot of the time, it may be silly but there is something to it. Maybe its the primitive hunter in us?
