reader, anonymous, writes (16 May 2008): You want your girlfriend to open up about what. Maybe she's shy, maybe she was the perfect teenager and has nothing interesting to share. Maybe she has secrets that she is ashamed about and is frightened that you might judge her.
It's not clear what you want her to be "open" about. You like talking, and have no problems telling her your secrets. Maybe she is not built that way, or maybe she thinks that you love talking about yourself so much you wouldn't be interested in what she has to say.
I don't know. If you want to know something about her, just ask her, it's easier than trying to second guess what is going on in her mind.

you may be doing you "fair share" of talking but i was just wondering....have you been doing a lot of asking? maybe if the two of you go back and forth asking eachother questions that mean a lot to both of you then you will be able to learn more about her
