i felt this needed a male perspective so asked my brother. sexy ligerie good if easy to remove, champaigne always a good one. a promise that this is his night to be spoilt.

unfortuantly men arent like us and most romantic gestures are lost on them so save your money with un nessessary garnishing ie rose petals.

i have never met a man who doesnt have to be forced into watching a romantic movie, and who needs soft porn when he has you.

if your feeling adventurous why not give him a lap dance.

only you can know what flicks your mans switches but by changing the setting you have already made it a night to remember.

good luck

On the more romantic side:

- candles are great for setting mood, lots of tealights or small votives set around the room. scented candles are nice and relaxing too

- I agree with Jill, fake rose petals are much easier than real roses

- mood music (some romantic tunes, maybe some special songs between the 2 of you)

- massage oil is great. massages are romantic and sensual and the oils smell great

- romantic foods/snacks: order room service to feed each other in bed. or chocolate covered strawberries. Some wine.

On the more sexual side:

- sexy lingerie

- a playlist of some sexy songs that you could do a little striptease to

- toys, maybe something new that you know he is interested in

- play some fantasy. blindfold him?

There's lots of little things you can do, so hopefully some of this gave you some ideas. Depends what exactly you want for this evening.

StrayTogether.com agony auntLucky you (and him)!

When I've done something like this in the past, I've visited the hotel room in advance and gotten everything ready. Then, whether you stay there and he arrives later or you both arrive together later, everything is all set for the big night!

Lingerie is a great idea (with your best high heels!), and so are rose petals - but be aware that REAL rose petals can wilt, stain everything, and be just awful (did this once! LOL). Go to a craft store and buy fake rose petals. (Check the bridal section, and you should be able to find them in a little plastic container, not on the roses.) Sprinkle them from the door to the bed and on the bed (or to the bathroom, if you're doing a jacuzzi or shower thing first ...).

Also consider icing a bottle of wine (if you're both of age), some nice appetizer or snack food like chilled shrimp cocktail or chocolate-dipped strawberries - something sexy you could feed each other. You could also consider room service - check out the menu in advance to see what the costs are and if there are any sexy foods you might like.

Maybe set up a movie - something romantic or soft porn, if you're into it (I wouldn't do hardcore, unless that's what you guys like). Not all hotels have DVD or VCR players, so check this out first or see if the hotel offers movies you could "order" in your room or find out if it's easy enough to use a portable DVD player on the TV in the room. If that's not an option, you could set up a board game that you could make sexy ... we like "Dirty Word" Scrabble, where we're only allowed to create sex words during game play. Or check out a series of books like Kokology (you can look them up online) where you both answer questions and then find out what your answers reveal about your personalities. Something fun and relaxing anyway.

Many hotel rooms have a small table and a couple of chairs, if this is the case, you could set up the table with a little table cloth, a rose in a vase, etc., like a cafe, then you could dress like a sexy cocktail waitress, and "serve" him, including a little strip tease! (Don't forget the music, if you decide to do this ...)

Think about the little things, like scented candles (make sure you bring matches or a lighter!), and your favorite lubes or sex toys.

Most of all, no matter what you decide, just try to relax and enjoy the time. Life is so busy around us these days, that opportunities to shut out the rest of world are few and far between.

Have fun!

Fondly,

Jill
