A male age , anonymous writes:

Dis anybody ever had erectal dysfunction, due to psychological reasons?

How did it get diagnosed?

How did it get better?

Did it ever get resolved?

I had a long journey on this road, and getting very tired of it.

I wish ,if someone would understand me.

I;m 49 years old married man, and I cant keep an erection. Sometimes I get one, but it is gone right away ,when I start foreplay ,with my wife. I have this now 5 years ago, and makes my marriage very miserable. I don't watch porn, and do anything like that. I never really think of sex. But the doctor says,I'm fine, so it is psychological. But what can be wrong? I love my wife, and she loves me. We tried pills ,but it is not a solution ,because,it still not helping me with desire, what I have also trouble with. Please help,if you have any idea, what can be wrong! Thanks

A reader, anonymous, writes (2 January 2011):

I am married to a man who has bouts of erectile dysfunction as well. I would get a second opinion from a different doctor. My husband refuses to take pills which is fine with me. We have learned that there are several things that impact ED! First...your going into your 50's....it is pretty common for guys to have their hormone levels drop. Have that checked out!!!!!! Secondly...start working out. Walking or running something. Also have your Blood Pressure checked and do you have sleep apnea? All these things we have learned play a role in ED!

In the meantime....sex is a huge part of connecting with your partner in life. You can still be intimate even if you cannot get an errection. Spend the time pleasuring your wife. By some bedroom toys, make her feel good.....still show her that you love her even if things are not working as nature had intended them to. Another helpful idea is that if you are able to obtain and errection...but it fades quickly....try a cock ring....made of rubber or plastic. They are relitively cheap and they help trap the bloodflow in the penis. Might help you maintain an errection longer so that you can have sex with your wife the old fashioned way!

I hope this helps you.
