My daughter is 5 years old and my ex boyfriend and I have joint custody of her (one week with him, one week with me) But lately when she's with him he's been making excuses for her to come home (to me). I could care less about this jerk, but I don't want my daughter to be without a father figure. Lately she'll go over there at noon and she'll be crying to come home to me by 11 at night. I don't know what he's doing or saying to her, and it's scarying me to death. She never tells me what goes on when I go to pick her up. I would get the court involved but my parents are not supportive of me because I had her when I was 15. And my ex still wants to see her and he has a new girlfriend that can support him if I try for sole custody. Does anyone have any legal advice or some advice.I'm looking for advice, please don't send me criticism. Thanks.

A father figure is great as long as it's a GOOD father figure, a bad one is worse than none at all. See if you can talk to a lawyer to reduce his visitation or maybe you get full custody then you can decide when he sees her. I know lots of areas have paralegals who work much cheaper. But I'd check into it, your daughter is unhappy for a reason.
