My sister is 20 and is dating a 25 year old and my mom didn't like that, I can only imagine how they will react to this. I need tips and advice to tell my family how old he is and is this worth getting into. Reply to this Question Share |

Remember, age is just a number when you're both an adult and love one another.
Me and my boyfriend are 5 years apart and my mom didn't like that either, but she came round and loved him.
I think maybe you should date this man first, see how everything goes, see if you like him and once you're GOING OUT with him officially, then tell your parents. No point telling them now when you're not sure how it's going to turn out between you.
If you're with him long enough and love him, they WILL come round.

Why is a school girl dating a man who left school a decade ago?
Why is an guy long out of school and well on his way to making a career (or I bloody well hope he is), dating a school girl?
If your answer is love, then that is the wrong answer.
There got to be something more. More then a kid trying to be mature and an old geezer escaping back to school. If you can't explain it to a complete stranger you will not be able to convince your family that this is more then a pedo who likes big boobies. And if you can't handle that statement, then you can't handle the flak you two will attract.
