 I'm not sure what you mean by vicious but unless its strong violence you need to take him on. To avoid his aggression I'd suggest coming home ranting at him about being contacted by your daughters school about it (daughter mentioned something or they somehow found out eg her friends, show and tell etc) and that they are contacting the police (or whoever) put the absolute fear of god into him that something terrible is about to happen to him. Mentioned that you have begged the school not to report it but they said it was out of their control. Stay angry and if possible while in the'rage' throw him out of the house. If this doesn't work get back this is too important not to be sorted out.
